Violent Incidents

Floods/Ports

Notices/Announcements

- Miss Parker is joining the team delivering reports.
- Jane Brunswick has taken responsibility for 7th floor inventory - we're still looking for someone for 1 and 3.
- George Crabtree is taking joint responsibility for the prayer room
- K offered to take responsibility for the supply cupboard with Cissie.

Please, someone report something else so this isn't the entirety of my post.

Departures

Inmates: Elle Bishop (graduation).

Wardens: Neil Howie.

The next report will be done by Dick Grayson.

Violent incidents:

- I know I'm jumping the gun a little, as Sarah probably hasn't even sorted out what happened yet - but there's a very big question from this. Amanda Young was allegedly attacked by Mark Hoffman using heroin. How has an inmate got his hands on narcotics and been allowed to keep them? I won't report what actually happened, as I don't know, but that question needs answering.

- [A MASSIVE ETA:] Sarah Harding has reported here both the attack on her inmate, and admitted to a disproportionate violent response against Mark Hoffman. I will be following suggested procedure here in discussing whether disciplinary action is necessary, and in that case, what. In doing so, I would appreciate it if Luke Cage could give a statement of his version of events and if Morrigan could speak on Mark Hoffman's behalf once he has regained consciousness as to if there is a need for action to be taken.

If you would like to discuss this, please do not do so here, wait until I have organised an official discussion of disciplinary action. Even if you do not think it is necessary, there will be opportunity then to say so.

In accordance with the given procedure, I have accounted for Sarah Harding and vouched for her ability to do her job until a decision has been made. If any further illegitimate action is taken by her, I am also to be considered accountable.

Floods/Ports

- there was a flood on the 27th and 28th. Did anyone actually work out exactly what happened in it?

General announcements/requests

- Pursuant to K asking earlier about experienced educators (I seem to have lost where it was, I'm really sorry about that) and Dick recently following up on an offer to teach self defence, I have a suggestion: I think we should make a list available to all wardens of people's skills, and whether they're willing or able to teach them. Obviously, any list would be opt-in, and the only things that go on the list are what you want. It's mostly for convenience, but if anyone thinks that'll be useful, I'll start one this afternoon.

- Dr Jones made a request for people to work in the infirmary. All enquiries of that nature should be directed to her.

- [an ETA which is not an ETA, as I just forgot] Mr Nygma reported a pool cue missing. Has anyone found it yet, as it is a potentially dangerous weapon and shouldn't go unaccounted for for long.

- Equally, we agreed to a person for each floor to check common rooms for missing items - the following have been assigned:

1 - nobody as yet. Please volunteer if you live on 1.
2 - Edward Nygma.
3 - Nobody as yet. Same as 1.
4 - Nobody as yet, same as 1.
5 - Narvin
6 - K
7 - Neil Howie
8 - Chromie.

Misc:

- Why is there still a hideous mural on the seventh floor? Do we even know who did that?
- The deck hawk seems to be in the possession of Persephone.
- The garden is now in sole charge of Charlie Crews, due to Armand St Just's resignation.

Arrivals:
Wardens: Zuko

Departures:
Wardens: Captain Kirk (temporary)
Inmates: Jason Todd, John Doe (graduation)

Apologies if I've missed anything, I seem to have only half my notes here. Also, if you haven't done it yet, make sure to have your weapons added to the catalogue.

((ooc: This is posted just after today's plot starts. Just so I could have Howie lose bits of his notes. And yes. Howie will be mentioning that catalogue every week.))

Pursuant to a suggestion from the Marquis, this post will serve as a catalogue for the weapons on board the Barge. Please respond with a list of all the weapons you own, including but not limited to guns, knives, swords, axes, laser pistols, ray guns, large crowbars, gas pellets, traquiliser darts, muskets, flintlocks, stilettos, spanners or other repurposed tools, lead pipes, grenades, Semtex, tear gas canisters, nunchuks, lances, pikes, halberds, daggers, holy water, consecrated maces, sword sticks, repurposed kitchenware or farming implements, dwarf bread, flamethrowers, bombs, land mines, caltrops, miscellaneous chemical weaponry, mind control/modification devices, Swiss army knives, sharpened steel rulers, homemade "shanks", et cetera.

And just because I haven't listed it is no reason to leave it off, damn it. I said "including but not limited to". Make and model, if applicable, is helpful as well.

Furthermore, if your inmate has been given permission by you to bear a weapon, include your inmate's name and what weapons he or she possesses.

Note that participation in this catalogue is voluntary, but I will say that to my own mind, it's in everyone's best interests to participate, and honestly.

[Not that she's holding her breath, but what the hell.]

Sorry this is a bit late, even if it's for obvious reasons. Again, if there's anything I've missed, tell me.

A report under here )

The next report will be done this coming weekend by Stephanie Brown.

((ooc: I am pressing the magical backdate button. As Howie would have done this when he got back. But I didn't. As I fail. Also; will someone tell me how to do bullet points?

p.s. This isn't me making this a standard-format thing, Howie just liked how Dick did it.))

Cut for lack of interesting reports. )

In other news, Howie and I, or just me, I don't know, but I think the barge needs a radio station. It'd be cool, a distraction, and it's not like the Admiral can't magic us up some music. What do you guys think?

[Originally posted here.]

I have nothing to report, incident wise. If anyone knows of anything, inform me.

But I will summarise the discussions brought up in the past week:

- Ray Kowalski brought up the issue of back up wardens and if they should be assigned - and if, how so.
- The issue of the ability to contact people off the Barge was brought up and discussed by numerous parties.
- Sam Tyler suggested a roll call after floods and ports.

Oh, sod it.

Right. I'm sick of this 'wait, what happened when?' and it damn well doesn't help that I missed a week there.

I want to know everything that's happened and that needs discussing since [long pause as he checks back in his journal for the last time he did this,] Good God the seventeenth of September. That's before the flood where we were in Prohibition world, or whatever you want to call it.

I am going to make a list. It'd be good if we all communicated for once.

I want to know what happened, and how it was dealt with. This is everything I know of so far.

- Patrick Maguire killed Dr Crane in the flood - and confessed to it, and didn't do it under his own volition. I'd consider that matter closed.

- Elle Bishop murdered me - I punished her for this, and accept some level of responsibility. That's closed too.

- Prefect had his life threatened by a new arrival and O'Brien was the first person to do anything about it? Una then dealt with the situation and... I don't know anything else about that, as I picked it up well after the fact.

- O'Brien turned out to be conning us all, as per Una's report. This, also, is closed.

- Akio and Mozenrath were involved in something involving duels in the CES, as per Angelica and Snape's reports. I'd consider that closed.

- Arthur shot his own inmate, as per his recent explanation. Why nobody noticed until now is something I'd like to discuss.

- I think we ought to also discuss what to do with inmates with no, absent, or incapacitated wardens.

- The Master attacked Judas in the infirmary and was put in zero.

This is everything I know about. I've been out of the loop for a week. I want to know everything I can be told, in the interest of communication. I suggest we do this or end up looking useless and ineffectual by missing things. In my mind, things going entirely unnoticed here is unacceptable. We've got to stay on top of things, or there's no point.

I'm now going to do this every week. Whether you like it or not.
